Progetto di Allestimento
Obiettivi
Creare un’esperienza coinvolgente che permetta di ammirare le opere da ogni angolazione, favorendo una visione a 360°. Proteggere le opere senza l’utilizzo di teche tradizionali. Sviluppare un sistema espositivo flessibile, capace di adattarsi a qualsiasi spazio, con la possibilità di configurare layout differenti. Minimizzare la visibilità della struttura, ponendo l’accento sulle opere stesse.
Concetto
L’idea è quella di far scomparire visivamente l’allestimento, dando l’impressione che le opere siano sospese nello spazio. “Per il progetto di allestimento della mostra di David Roberts, mi sono ispirata agli elementi distintivi dei processi di cottura osservati durante i workshop. La mia intenzione era quella di integrare questi riferimenti attraverso le caratteristiche della tecnica Raku. Da qui nasce l’idea di utilizzare la forma cilindrica del bidone metallico, impiegato come stufa di cottura nel Raku, come display per le opere. Eleganti cilindri trasparenti, alti dal pavimento al soffitto, liberamente disposti nello spazio, richiamano una foresta di bamboo, un omaggio alle radici di questa tecnica: il Giappone.”

Objectives
Create an engaging experience that allows the viewer to appreciate the artworks from all angles, enabling a 360° view. Protect the artworks without using traditional display cases. Develop a flexible exhibition system adaptable to any space, with the possibility of configuring different layouts. Minimize the visibility of the display structure, focusing attention on the artworks themselves.
Concept
The idea is to visually disappear the exhibition setup, giving the impression that the artworks are floating in space. “For the design of David Roberts’ exhibition, I was inspired by the distinctive elements of the firing processes I observed during the workshops. My intention was to integrate these references through the characteristics of the Raku technique. From this came the idea of using the cylindrical shape of the metal barrel, traditionally used as a Raku firing kiln, as the display for the artworks. Elegant transparent cylinders, tall from floor to ceiling and freely arranged in the space, evoke a bamboo forest, paying homage to the origins of this technique: Japan.”
